Colleague Expedition Leader and friend Alex Abramov is coming towards me on the snowy ridge between North Col camp and Camp 2.
Even though it is clear, the wind can be brutal here and under-dressing here can cause serious frostbite. The views are fantastic from here, looking towards 8201m high Cho Oyu just sticking out of the clouds and the Nepalese side of the Himalayas. The large dark mountain on the other side of the North Col is Changtse, also known as Bei Peak.
